ONE NUMBER THAT MATTERS
4
corridors, each written up to its source.
Every figure is read from an official source — and the medical desk re-checks its corridors at least every thirty days.
Send your condition and the destination you are considering, and a person — not an auto-reply — comes back within 24 hours with the hospitals that publish that treatment, the cost band where a source exists, and the medical-visa steps with their dates. Our advisory is free. There is no form to fill and no call to schedule first; the WhatsApp channel below reaches the desk directly.
Before the corridors, the scale. Two dated sources measure how many people travel from Bangladesh for treatment: about 450,000 in 2023, up 48% year on year (The Business Standard, 21 December 2024), and about 800,000 a year on the wider count that includes people who travel on visitor visas (The Daily Star, citing Prothom Alo, 24 March 2025). The spend is put at US$4–5 billion a year (The Daily Star, 23 November 2024; The Business Standard, 21 December 2024).
The peer-reviewed evidence on what actually decides the choice is worth stating plainly, because it is not what most pages assume. In the largest study of Bangladeshi patients travelling to India, the strongest single driver of the decision was facility and services (β = 0.24, p < 0.001), ahead of destination and of cost, which tied at β = 0.16 (Zakaria et al., Frontiers in Public Health, 2023). That is why this desk is built around sourced facility records and citation-checked figures rather than around price — and why our cost content publishes the band a source publishes, without ranking one corridor against another.
MEDICAL CORRIDORS
Each corridor guide collects what the destination itself publishes — facilities, the visa route, and any figure with a date — and links every claim to the page it came from. Where a facility or a fee publishes nothing we can date, the guide says so.
The corridor with the largest measured share of Bangladeshi outbound treatment patients, and the destination with a dedicated medical visa category. Hospital roster, accreditation checks and the Indian medical-visa route, with the e-Medical Visa's 365-day, multiple-entry terms read from the official portal.
Open the India guide
An established corridor with a specific medical-treatment visa class. Facilities, the Non-Immigrant "O" Medical Treatment route — including its published US$4,000 bank floor and 15-working-day lead time — and the facilities that publish an international-patient service.
Open the Thailand guideA destination that files treatment through a named route. The Visa Without Reference (social visit) filed via the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council's authorised partners, the five Malaysian facilities our ledger holds, and the destination's own 2025 growth figure, attributed.
Open the Malaysia guide
The high-value corridor, with a route that surprises people: no dedicated medical visa. Facilities, the entry-visa requirements including the Letter of Introduction, and the published fee and processing time.
Open the Singapore guideTwo corridor cards have been removed from this row. Türkiye and Saudi Arabia are no longer presented as documented corridors here: our evidence for Bangladeshi treatment demand on either route is weaker than for the four above, and we would rather show four we can stand behind. The Saudi page is held while its demand basis is checked.

The specialties and procedures the documented facilities publish.
How to verify a treating doctor against the destination's official register.
Accreditation-checked facilities across every documented corridor.
Every source this desk cites, listed and dated.
