Two things that decide the trip before the hospital does

No medical visa category exists. A patient applies as a visitor, and the application needs a Form V39A Letter of Introduction from a Singapore citizen or PR — a document most patients cannot produce alone.

Singapore publishes hospital-fee benchmarks for 18 procedures, not for cardiac, spine, cancer or transplant. Where a benchmark does not exist, this site shows no figure rather than an estimate.

If the corridor closes

India can be switched off

India suspended visas for 22 months from August 2024 and reopened on 28 June 2026. During that window Kolkata volumes fell by four fifths. Any plan that depends on one corridor needs a second one priced beside it.
