Universal documents (all categories)

Regardless of your visa category, you need: your valid Bangladeshi passport (minimum 6 months validity from intended date of entry + 2 blank pages), the completed online form printed from indianvisa-bangladesh.nic.in (all pages including barcode page, signed where indicated), two recent photos matching the photo specifications, a photocopy of your passport bio page and any previous Indian visa pages, your old passport if applicable, and ৳1,500 cash for the IVAC service charge.

Tourist visa documents

In addition to the universal set: proof of accommodation in India (hotel booking confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and contact), return flight ticket or itinerary, and bank statements showing sufficient funds for the trip duration. For the 5-year senior visa (65+), carry your NID or birth certificate as age proof.

Medical visa documents

Hospital invitation letter from a recognised Indian hospital with the AYUSH Medical Visa Reference Number (mandatory since April 2025), your medical reports and diagnosis, financial proof covering treatment costs, and the treating doctor’s recommendation letter. Business visa documents

Invitation letter from the Indian counterpart company on official letterhead with PAN and GST numbers and authorised signatory, your Bangladeshi company’s trade licence or incorporation documents, company bank statements, business card, and any correspondence establishing the business relationship. Student visa documents

Admission letter from the Indian institution (must be UGC/AICTE/NMC recognised), fee structure letter, financial proof covering at least one academic year (tuition + living), and academic transcripts from your most recent qualification. Entry X visa documents
