Our commitment

Abroad Guide BD is committed to making abroadguidebd.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we test with automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers (NVDA and VoiceOver) before and after each site update. Accessibility work is part of every page rebuild, not an afterthought: we publish this statement so you know exactly what to expect, and how to tell us when something falls short.

How we build for accessibility

Every page on this site is checked against our accessibility spec before it ships. That spec covers four areas that matter most to assistive-technology users. First, focus and keyboard behaviour: navigation submenus open on hover and on keyboard focus, the Escape key closes menus and dialogs, and focus always returns to the control that opened them. Second, semantics: headings start at one h1 per page and follow in order with no skipped levels; lists are real lists; tables carry captions and scope attributes; and forms pair every field with a visible label plus an autocomplete attribute where a browser can help. Third, announcements: dynamic results, such as the visa-check verdict and form error messages, are wrapped in live regions so a screen reader announces them without stealing focus. Fourth, motion: our global reduced-motion rule clamps every animation to a single instant, so nothing pulses, floats, or scrolls smoothly when the operating system requests less motion.

Report an accessibility problem

If you find anything on the site that is hard to use or read, please tell us — we treat accessibility reports as urgent. You can reach us on WhatsApp at +880 1315-682424, through the contact page (choose “Other” and mention accessibility), or by emailing accessibility@abroadguidebd.com. When you write, please include the page URL, the issue you hit, and the technology you use (browser, assistive software, and zoom level if relevant). We acknowledge every report within 2 working days and aim to fix the issue or provide a workaround within 10 working days.

Enforcement and review

This statement is reviewed and re-tested after every rebuild wave and at least quarterly. The tests we run are the same ones named in our spec: axe-core and Lighthouse accessibility scans, keyboard-only walkthroughs of the primary user flows, and screen-reader spot checks on the country guides and the contact form.
